Food may not be taken out of the dining area during all-you-care-to-eat periods. However, you can use a block meal, Flex Dollars or Dining Dollars for to-go food items at all of our other campus restaurants.

One swipe of your CampusCard buys you one all-you-care-to-eat meal. You can also use a block meal to pay for food at Campus Restaurants retail locations. One block meal equals $6.00. For example, you purchase food at Blazer Café’s Charleston Market and your total comes to $7.00. You ask the cashier to use a block meal. $6.00 is then applied to your total cost. You can then pay the difference in cash, Flex Dollars or Dining Dollars.

A:
Flex Dollars on your plan is a debit account that gives you cash to spend on food in addition to block meals. Flex Dollars can be used to purchase food or beverages at any of the campus dining locations. For instance, if you purchase the 100 Block Plan, it comes with $250 Flex Dollars that work like cash to spend on meals. They can be used to pay for food a la carte instead of using a block meal. Or, if you use a block meal to pay for an a la carte purchase, you can use the Flex Dollars to cover the cost over the block meal’s $6.00 cash value.
